STEAM Clubs – Gambrills (API) – Wednesdays, Winter 2024

Join us for STEAM fun in Gambrills at API! Sign up for one or more classes. Each class runs from January 10-February 28 (8 weeks) on Wednesdays. Please see the individual course descriptions for class times and grade levels. If your child is not in the listed grade level, please contact us before you register.

Gamer Club (Grades K-5)

Wednesdays, 4-4:50pm, 1/10-2/28 (8 weeks)

Kids will use tablets to play Minecraft and Roblox together. We can provide tablets, or kids can bring their own devices. Kids will need their own Minecraft and/or Roblox accounts to play.

LEGO Robotics (Grades K-5)

Grades 1-4
Wednesdays, 5-5:50pm, 1/10-2/28 (8 weeks)
$256/child
Learn to combine LEGO® bricks with gears, motors, sensors, and programmable parts to build and code robots. Kids will use LEGO Spike Essential sets and work in teams of 2 to build and program robots and other machines to solve challenges.

Please note the API website says a different grade range. Kids in grades K-5 can sign up for this one.

YouTube Stars (Grades K-5)

Grades K-5
Wednesdays, 6-6:50pm, 1/10-2/28 (8 weeks)
$220/child
Kids will learn how to create videos for YouTube. They will use a variety of tools to plan, record, and edit challenges, scripted videos, and stop-motion animations.
