SUMMARY:STEAM Clubs - Annapolis (The Collective) - Fall 2023
DESCRIPTION:This class has been canceled. We will try again in the spring! \n\n\n\nJoin us for STEAM fun in Annapolis! Sign up for one or more classes. Each ticket is good for the duration of the class (7 weeks)\, September 26 through November 28\, for the specific class on the ticket. There will be no class on 10/24\, 10/31\, or 11/21. Drop-in might be available\, but please check before you show up to make sure we have room. All classes are for kids in Grades K-8. \n\n\n\nGAMER CLUB\n\n\n\nTuesdays\, 4-4:50pm\, 9/26-11/28\, No Class 10/24\, 10/31\, or 11/21 (7 weeks)$105/child ($18/session drop-in)Kids can play Roblox or Minecraft in a social group. Each week\, the instructor will encourage kids to join a private server to play together. We will provide tablets\, or kids can bring their own devices. Kids will need their own accounts to participate. If you have parental controls enabled for their account\, you might need to stick around for a few minutes to help us log in at the start of each class. \n\n\n\nLEGO ROBOTICS\n\n\n\nTuesdays\, 5-5:50pm\, \, 9/26-11/28\, No Class 10/24\, 10/31\, or 11/21 (7 weeks)$210/child ($35/session drop-in)Learn to combine LEGO® bricks with gears\, motors\, sensors\, and programmable parts to build and code robots. Kids will use LEGO Spike Essential or Prime sets depending on their age and ability. They will work in teams of 2 to build robots and program them to solve challenges. \n\n\n\nYOUTUBE STARS\n\n\n\nTuesdays\, 6-6:50pm\, 9/26-11/28\, No Class 10/24\, 10/31\, or 11/21 (7 weeks)$175/child ($30/session drop-in)Kids will learn how to create videos for YouTube. They will use a variety of tools to plan\, record\, and edit challenges\, scripted videos\, and stop-motion animations.
